Grind Mode

New York was awesome....I'm going to have to tell you guys about it later because I'm insanely tired and busy. My right hand is hurting day three into September...but more about that later.

I final tabled some $560 event and did a 10 way chop for $16,000. I was was about 5 in chips and the only one refusing the chop at first, so I got around $500 in extra equity that came out of the players pockets. If we were to kept playing, effective stacks would have been 20bb which doesn't leave much play left.

Matty/MrPaintball was a beast and final tabled the main even $1,650 buy in after almost not even coming. After some brutal rivers and close calls, he busted 8th for $14,000, just shy of the 6 handed final table.

I stayed longer in New York than I expected, but just short enough to miss the hurricane. I'll write about more that in my next post. Right now I would like to just throw down the plan for right now.

I'm taking a super light load regarding school...I think. Classes started this past week and I never got around to signing up which actually may turn out to be a good thing.

Midnight of this month, one of my friends/students was sweating me and I noticed quite a few 6m super turbos going off. I realized it was midnight and instantly hopped on the grind myself. A few hours into the night, me and my friend John ended up forming a prop bet.

I have to win the Merge SNG Leader board for September.

2.25k-1k In my favor.

Boom. Next day right out of the gate, I snap of 7 sngs in a row which is massive for the bonus multiplier. If the streaker bonus holds, that would be an extra $750 on top of the 2k for the bonus. So yeah, me shipping this leaderboard means and extra $5000 in bonuses/prop bets for me.

Now the best situation is I average $1.00/game after rakeback and play 12k of them this month having a 17k month. Because of this situation available to me, I decided to take school off this semester...or just an easy load.

Yes, one semester to go and I'm still putting it off. Why?

I think it's the smart thing to do in my situation given I have the ability to grind. It looks that U.S legislation is doing pretty decent in regards to moving online poker along (really I have no idea, I've just heard and I would looooove to have a nice juicy roll for staking when it comes back. They few classes I need to take aren't going anywhere, and I still plan on being in the same spot because my girlfriend has another semester after this one.

I've been on a massive poker high since coming off of the trip. I've been thinking, studying, coaching, and playing, tons and tons of poker. I'm going to hit it disgustingly hard this next month.

Tilt, health, and all those other crazy things are going to play a huge factor for me this month. See the all in variance of poker is just about the most disgusting thing one can do and playing super turbos are the exact way to do it.

Here are the rankings so far 5 hours into day three.

1. reasons14 67,460 7 472,220

2. jd4wg91 52,861 5 264,305

3. Crzzy2000 52,041 4 208,165

4. lolTRlCKED 33,750 4 135,002

5. letsdosthis1267 28,994 4 115,976

I don't have any exact plan on how much i'll be playing. Right now I have over 1200 sngs so I'm guessing ~500/day when playing will be pretty standard. I'm going to start going to yoga just about every morning and running in the afternoon. Time management is going to be super vital for me as long as I want to have some life outside of poker. It's just way way way too easy to just get into inf grind mode and not even go outside.

Anyhow, it's 5am and I would like to get some sleep and get up right when the games are poppin all fresh. Here is something for the daily grind....

Thanks for reading,

Seems a bit backwards to do the poker thing while poker isn't legalized yet, so you can do the poker when it becomes legal. In my opinion it would make more sense to do the last semester of school while the legal battle is going and then hopefully have poker legal when you're done.
